DURING AN INTERVIEW

Remember that an interview is a two-way conversation.  After asking questions, the interviewer will usually invites you to ask questions. By asking informed questions, you not only gain knowledge about the potential employer, but you also make a good impression.

Avoid asking questions just to impress the interviewer or asking frivolous questions just to have some to ask. Ask only about what's truly important to you. Also avoid asking questions that might reveal more about you than the job. For example, the question "What is company policy about using the internet for personal reasons?" has the underlying implications that you might be wasting time during work hours surfing the internet and maybe visiting inappropriate sites.

Do not ask questions about compensation, benefits, vacation time, commute,. You should have already reviewed the job description thoroughly so do not ask about the general job responsibilities. As you should have also reviewed the company web site and have basic company information, do not ask about size of the company, location, etc.
